This course is designed to help students acquire the skills to speak confidently about a variety of current issues.

【教育内容】
Students will work on building their listening/notetaking skills, increasing their vocabulary, and gaining confidence.
【教育方法】
授業形態：演習
Students will be given clear instructions, explanations and examples of how to properly prepare for their presentations. Students will have many opportunities in class to use and practice simple discussion techniques. Online classes will involve watching short videos and completing class work, plus individual presentations.

Students will be given verbal or written feedback and comments following their presentations.

**Important**
* Students MUST do ALL 3 presentations. (If a student misses one of the presentations, he/she will not pass this course.)
* The class work will be uploaded on Fridays or Saturdays, and the deadline will be the following Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. (So students will have 6 days to complete each assignment.) If you send it after the deadline, you will be marked “absent” for that lesson.
* NEVER copy your class work from a friend in your class (or someone who took this class last year.) If one student copies from another, BOTH students will fail the class.

【▼重要事項▼】
・必ず３つ全てのプレゼンテーション課題に取り組むこと（１つでも取り組んでいない課題がある場合は不合格となる）。
・課題は毎週金曜日もしくは土曜日にアップロードされます。提出期限は翌週の金曜日午前９時です（つまり一つの課題につき６日間が与えられていることになります）。提出期限を過ぎて提出した場合、その回の授業を「欠席」したものとして扱います。
・決して、クラスの友人（もしくは昨年度この授業を履修していた学生）の課題をコピーしてはいけません。もしも課題をコピーするようなことがあった場合は、コピーした学生も、させた学生も両方の学生が不合格となり単位を得ることはできません。
Students should be able to improve their oral communication skills, and gain confidence in their ability to use English.
Presentations (45%), Class Work and Class Participation (55%)
Students will need to spend 30 hours studying outside of class.
Students will be required to practice for the presentations.
Students should review the topics covered in the lessons after each class.
